Armenian Mesrobian School was founded in 1955 as a Sunday School with the sole purpose of teaching Armenian. In 1965, the school opened as a daily Armenian School wit grades Kindergarten through Third. This historic event marked the establishment of the first Armenian elementary school in the United States. One grade level was added every year until the school had its first high school graduating class in 1975. Mesrobian School now offers a comprehensive educational program to students ranging from early childhood education through twelfth grade. It is unique in that all preschool, elementary, and high school programs are located on one campus.

Armenian Mesrobian Preschool is licensed by the State of California to serve the needs of children ages 2 through 5 years.

In 1997, with a generous donation from our long-time benefactors, the preschool was renamed Ron and Goharik Gabriel Preschool.
